Festive events
Sardine Festival – two editions
The major local summer tradition: popular festivals around Port Maria with music, costumes, seafood meals (fish soup, grilled sardines, Breton far) and a dance with a DJ. These festivals take place in July and early August (for example, July 12 and August 9 in 2025).
National Holiday – July 14
A public dance and fireworks display are held every year on the Esplanade Hoche to celebrate July 14.
August 15 Festival
A concert, fireworks, a dance, and a picnic are organized in Quiberon on August 15, a highlight of the summer.
Major sporting events in 2026
Spi Ouest-France – April 3-6, 2026 (Quiberon Bay)
One of the largest amateur and professional regattas in Europe, starting from La Trinité-sur-Mer in Quiberon Bay, attracting several hundred sailboats and sailors.
La Classique Morbihan – May 8, 2026
A professional women's cycling race, UCI 1.1 and a round of the French Cup, which crosses the peninsula.
World Triathlon Championship Series – June 20 & 21, 2026
Quiberon hosts a stage of the World Triathlon Championship Series (WTCS), a round of the world triathlon championship bringing together the best international athletes in several formats (elite, relay, XS/S/M distances).
Grand Prix of Sailing – October 7 to 10, 2026 (A.S.N. Quiberon)
Regatta organized every autumn, focused on competitive sailing and various disciplines such as catamaran sailing, windsurfing or wing foiling.
Local markets and events
Traditional Weekly Market
Market held every Thursday of the year in the market square in Saint-Pierre-Quiberon. Market held every Saturday of the year in the Place du Varquez in Quiberon.
Summer Markets, Flea Markets, and Booksellers' Markets
During the summer, several markets (large market, flea market, booksellers' market) bring color to the squares of Quiberon, notably Place Hoche and Esplanade Hoche.
